When’s the last time you proved yourself wrong?
Perhaps adopt a new methodology, one that you’ve vehemently opposed?
Perhaps, admit your perspective was inaccurate when engaged in an argument or debate?
Perhaps, try something you’ve always hated and find out you enjoy it?
Perhaps, a deeply held religious or political position?
Proving yourself wrong is exhilarating. It demonstrates the power you have to influence yourself. I’m less afraid of being “wrong” and more afraid of becoming stuck in my ways to the point that I can’t see another perspective.
Really, the essence of proving yourself wrong has nothing to do with being wrong. It has more to do with seeing things from a different angle, regardless whether or not your change the angle you look from.
