If you know what you have to do is the right thing to do, but you’re not quite sure how to do it. In other words, you’re hesitant with how to proceed, then you need to stop thinking and just act.
For example, when learning to ride the new self balancing scooters, the ones that look like a mini Segway, it can be an unnerving experience. The key to learning how to use it was to stop thinking about the logistics and just step on it and go. My brain took a few minutes to adapt but eventually it kicked in and subconsciously I knew how to ride the thing.
Trust that your brain will figure it out. Stop thinking and act.
If you’re giving a speech and you don’t know what words to start with, don’t obsess over a script. Instead, find a salient point to make and then just open your mouth with the intent of making the point. Your subconscious will find the words for you.
