If you feel overwhelmed with options when making a decision, sometimes adding a constraint is the best way to make a worthwhile decision.
For example, this weekend I was looking for brunch ideas here in NYC. As you can imagine it can be quite frustrating sifting through hundreds, if not thousands, of possibilities. So, I asked myself where would I like to get brunch to limit my search. I picked a neighborhood and from there it was much easier to pick a location. I no longer allowed myself to look in other neighborhoods.
When we arrived for brunch there were seemingly endless possibilities on the menu. I naturally picked breakfast items and ignored the rest. That made my decision pretty straight forward.
Are you stuck with too many options to make a decision? Can you find a constraint to add to limit the possibilities in such a way that you still have good options to pick from?
